To ride Classical-Iberian - a dream for every rider.

Often we are called with the question: "I would like to learn to ride in Spanish! Long enough I have struggled with the English cavalry, now this reaches." Then there we must disappoint quite a lot of. Since basis of every special riding manner, also of the Iberian, is the classical training, Doma Classica as the Spaniard calls them. Of course it sees substantially more elegantly from on a baroque horse, how is it the Andalusian or PRE, Why is thus?, On the one hand, it lies in the horse: The natural erection and the high meeting readiness by the typical Exterieur leaves alone the rider particularly calmly. He can thereby stand up more comfortably and concentrate exclusively upon the Hilfengebung. Therefore the input question positions itself substantially differently: so not, "How learn me to ride in Spanish or Iberian", but, "Are my horse and me according to training so far qualified that I can decide on one of the Iberian riding manners"? If this is in such a way what is then, actually, the difference to the English cavalry?

Classically Iberian riding manners

In general said, the riding styles are as different in Spain as in Germany. However, the work with the horse in Spain is not a bare sport, but a component of the life and an essential piece of cultural asset. The horse riding expresses perfection and pride, as well as joy of life and fun in the movement. Maybe so as the flamenco. Both - dance and cavalry - are connected unwiederruflich with Spain. Not to forget, however, also the wine, sherry and good food.

Doma Classica

We would say: Training education in the highest completion, how in our tournament cavalry. Condition is the meeting the classical lessons are side strakes, Traversalen, Piaffe, passage, flying changes and, moreover, the Spanish step / trot. She is valid as a preparation to the high school as we know them from the known Spanish riding academies in Jerez and Vienna.

Alta Escuela

Today called with us the high school, is no more typical Iberian riding manner, one refrains of the Spanish step and the Spanish trot once. Most lessons on the earth are a component of Grand Prix - check internationally. Nevertheless, in general is valid that the Spaniards were the first riders which her horses could ride in a suitable meeting. And the Viennese court riding academy - Mecca of the high school - was founded typically with horses of Spanish descent. In this horsemanship we see all lessons of Doma Classica on the earth as well as the typical lessons above ground like Levade, Pesade, capriole, Courbette etc. That here an imperturbable trust of the horse in the rider must rule, one does not need to mention. A special art which renounces the aid known to us is the work of the horses on the long rein and between the Pilaren. For this work a rider must understand his art already very well, there are a few in Germany this control.

Doma Vaquera

Thus the working riding manner of the mounted shepherds which was mentioned already in the 17th century in Andalusia is called. On this occasion, the herds of cattle are guarded or done, single animals sorted out or the fight readiness of the young bulls is tested. As in the west cavalry she consists basically of step and gallop and is ridden with one hand. Besides, important bases are Traversalen, Piouretten, quick starts and stops in the gallop, meetings and gallop change. Besides, quickness and agility of the horse is especially important. The rein plays in the Hilfengebung only one low role, the rider works the horse with weight and thigh facilities. In addition there comes the working device of the shepherds - the Garrocha - a three-metre-long wooden pole which is used for selecting of the Jung's bulls and to check the attack readiness. One can experience Doma Vaquera as a rapid show insert on many horse-sporty events. Many riders with us dream of this dance with the horse, the ease and the unity of both. Indeed - translates into our cavalry - had to go the rider who ventures on Doma Vaquera, knowledge in the training possibly class m owns around o.g. To control lessons from the principle. And it still is another a way, because we are to be ridden it usually not usually, e.g., flying changes on the shining kerbs with one hand.

Bullfight cavalry

Here in Germany of course only as a show carried out, sits down together from the predescribed riding manners and special lessons. Nevertheless, it is not carried out with us.
